Summary of the W!tchy War on Masculinity

An index of links by topic for this 2 month long theme.

Theme: The W!tchy War on Masculinity
Length: 1,900 words

Overview

Our coverage of The W!tchy War on Masculinity is actually a combination of three interrelated themes that I’ve pieced together into a collage of writings that are focused on the impact on men.

  1. Gynocentric man bashing
  2. Modernity / Scientism / Positivism
  3. The Jezebel Spirit / W!tchcraft

This 2-month long theme touched on 3 battlegrounds in the War on Masculinity:

  1. The Church
  2. Society
  3. Intersexual Relations

One post touched on all these topics, which is fitting to its namesake.

The Convergence of the Church and Crumbling Attitudes Towards Masculinity

Pope Francis

2023 has seen a new low in both the disintegration of the church and the broader social attitudes towards men.  I believe it is no coincidence that these two phenomena are occurring in conjunction.  At its root, it is the revilement of authority.

Looks like I called it right on the money when I decided back in late September to focus on this topic as a theme.  This topic has received more airplay over the sphere during this time than any other topic.

During this time frame, the Church of England condoned same sex marriages in mid November, followed by Pope Francis and the Catholic church on 2023/12/18. On the SAME DAY (I think), the U.S. government declared the Manosphere a terr0r!st threat.

Here at Σ Frame, Thedeti and Jack dismantled the alternarratives of the new proto-conservative syndicate within churchianity.  Responses and related posts are also listed.

W!tchcr@ft

We looked at W!tchcr@ft, what it is, how it originates, and its various modern manifestations.

Of note, S@tanists were highly active during this time, including their involvement in after-school programs in Memphis, and asserting their Constitutional right to install an altar to Baphomet in the Iowa State Capitol.

Headship

The topic of Headship came up and a few posts were written about this.  Apparently, this discussion was revived back in September when Sharkly (Laughing at Feminism) resumed posting after an 11-month hiatus.  Derek and Sharkly exchanged barbs (mostly through many comments at Spawny’s Space) until Derek took aim at Thedeti and the Σ Frame blog.  DeepStrength closed the debate with a sound affirmation of Biblical Headship Authority.

Mysticism

Elsewhere in the sphere, the doctrinal / philosophical battle over the definition, place, and value of Christian mysticism continues.  Some of us still think mysticism is equivalent to (pagan?) esotericism and that there is a fundamental difference between being a ‘true mystic’ and a serious Christian.

These differences in understanding erupted in a spat over William Wildblood’s account of ‘spiritual guides’.  Are they angels, demons, divinations, an overactive imagination, or just bad digestion?  We can never know with scientistic certainty, except through prayer, mystic faith, spiritual discernment, and testing the spirits (1 John 4:1-6).

Notice of Holiday Closing

It is customary for this blog to take a reprieve from posting between the winter solstice and the New Year (12/22* to 12/31).  However, this multi-topic series received more contributions than usual.  Thedeti wrote 4 posts, Red Pill Apostle wrote 3 posts, Arch Angel wrote 2 posts, Alexei Karamazov wrote 1 post, there were 5 posts contributed anonymously, and Jack wrote 2 additional posts to address questions from readers.  Consequently, posting extended past 12/21* this year.

I urge readers to abandon the internet altogether during this time, and to focus their time and attention on family and friends, and the reason for the season.

On behalf of all the authors at Σ Frame, Merry CHRISTmas and Happy New Year!

* The winter solstice is traditionally on 12/21 on Western calendars.  However, the Chinese calendar, which is based on the phases of the moon, indicates that the winter solstice is on 12/22 this year.

That’s a nice suggestion, however for us the holidays are officially over at Dec 26 and the regular work week starts again. Only boomers get the luxury of vacation leave from before Christmas Eve into January.

That’s the price we pay for industrialization.

Why only Boomers? There are plenty of people on vacation from Christmas to New Years. And this year since Christmas is on a Monday, vacation is only four days of the regular work week.

And not all people want to go on vacation during that week. Everything is kind of slow during those four days so the workload is light.

Having to work through the holidays doesn’t mean one needs to spend that much time on the internet and neglect their family and friends.

It’s alright, it’s just that for us the time to foster friends and family is the Advent season and ends at Christmas due to economic necessities.

I have a story, not really of any relevance, but I would like to share it. I mentioned in the comments of a past post that my parents are friends with a couple who have two daughters. The eldest is married. The other was engaged and the wedding was supposed to take place this month. Well, the wedding didn’t happen; they broke things off last month after he started changing plans on her.

I do pity her. But I also think it’s a shame that our parents didn’t at least try setting us up several years ago, and that she didn’t give me a shot a couple years ago when I reached out. A couple years ago, I was more enthusiastic about her and the idea of marriage in general. Unfortunately, she has lost precious time because of a guy she met on an app. I’m not against apps, they just don’t seem to work that well.

      Jax,
That girl needs to marry ASAP, or else she’ll go sour. The desperation of being disappointed is overwhelming, similar to what divorce does to people. Many years ago, people who officiated a marriage dealt with this problem by arranging to have a backup man standing by to marry the girl if the groom ghosted her at the altar and he didn’t have a very good reason for not showing up. If you offered a marriage proposal right now, there’s a good chance she’ll take it. But if she’s alpha widowed or SHE broke off the engagement, then that’s a different story. Consider the risks and the true situation before you decide.

Somewhat related. Christian men shouldn’t get down on one knee to propose to a woman. It mimics gyneolatry. Instead, take her to a beautiful place, wait for a moment when her heart is open, put your arm around her shoulders, and give her the ring. No words are needed. Watch her reaction. If she gets the impression that it’s a wedding ring, or she goes full s1ut eye, or she goes silent, then Congratulations! You’re now engaged. If she asks, “What’s this for?” or she thinks its just a gift with no larger meaning, then that means you don’t have the authority over her heart / life that you had hoped. Take back the ring, make a clean break, and move on.

        Jack,

At this point, I’m not sure that I want to be involved. The time for my involvement was years ago. I can find a woman who is younger than she is (26). I don’t know that I’d call her ex an alpha, but I’d put his SMV at higher than the man whom her sister married. Her sister, perhaps sensibly, married more of a beta provider (I don’t doubt that she was a virgin on her wedding day, however). The ex in question is a 5’10”, reasonably handsome West Point graduate.

I don’t know who actually ended it, but it sounds like he wanted to force her hand. He is stationed in the Midwest and the plan was for her to move and find a job there after the wedding. I don’t have the story fully straight. I can’t recall if he threw a curveball at her prior to this and she still intended to marry him, but he did throw a major curveball at her, saying that he intended to move back to his home state and attend medical school. Naturally, this threw a wrench in her script (marry in mid 20s, begin having children soon after). But I think she still intended to marry him until it became clear that he wasn’t committed. I feel for her dad, who lost some vendor deposits and had to figure out how to refund all of the registry gifts, many of which were shipped to the Midwest.

And good point about the manner of proposal. I’ve been uneasy about that since coming out of the BP.

I always wonder why there is even a wedding scheduled for a case where the guy still hasn’t even decided if he wants to stay with that girl. Why was there a proposal in the first place?

My bet: Guy was too young and inexperienced and it was forced by peer pressure.

“Unfortunately, she has lost precious time because of a guy she met on an app. I’m not against apps, they just don’t seem to work that well.”

I’m pretty convinced that this has absolutely nothing to do with an app and probably everything to do with absolutely dysfunctional marriage customs.

If a guys heads for the escape pod one month before a wedding, then the mistake was scheduling the whole thing for December 2023. At this stage of things, a wedding is in the cards 2025 earliest. And I’m pretty sure, these crazy customs were the main reason why the guy ran for his life.

Yes couples figuring out incompatibility break up all the time. Yes, they “lose time”. (Actually they don’t, as they just avoided a lifetime sentence of misery.) No, they don’t do this one month before a wedding unless someone thought it would be a good idea to schedule it there. This was the main method how men were trapped in dead bedrooms for decades. This doesn’t work anymore, men have smartened up.

“Many years ago, people who officiated a marriage dealt with this problem by arranging to have a backup man standing by to marry the girl if the groom ghosted her at the altar and he didn’t have a very good reason for not showing up.”

Playing the role of the literal consolation prize is the capital emasculation sentence for a lifetime. How gyno-centric is THAT? BTW: In Western culture there used be a dowry come along with a bride, instead of the contemporary way of having the man to pay for everything. Used to reduce the wedding no-shows by a lot.

Yeah, 25-26 looks like following the prescribed AWOL (American Way Of Life) script to the brim, maybe fueled by lot of FOMO. He probably realized last minute, that the deal isn’t going to be what was as promised by society. Of course anyone in the RP camp knows this, while gynocentrists will start crying about how he did GHOW.

The wives moving (in) with the man has been the gold standard for 6000 years as the Hebrew bible already describes. There is huge implication in the polygynic system there: The husband (hus bonda “male head of a household, master of a house, householder) defined where the wives lived – not the other way around. A marriage was pretty much agreeing to live with the house holder in the household, hence the name.

        AWOL-marriage inverted that formula completely.

For me being aggressively attacked online and branded “heretic” always felt like Feds LARPing Christians. The amusing aspect is that Feds don’t affect me, because I don’t live in America, they have no power here.

Though reading through Foster’s page I ended up elsewhere learning the term “Affectio Maritalis” describing the system most of my contemporaries follow since the Catholic church lost their foothold due to reformation. At the same time I learned about Augustus’ laws like Lex Julia de Adulteriis Coercendis which pretty much describes the framework American fundamentalists (and Feds larping as such) like promote on the Internet, though without knowing the historical precedence.

However unlike Romans who applied the Lex Julia to their informal marriage system, fundamentalists like combine it with the modern Trient interpretation of marriage. This is how they come with the idea that humans reaching “Pubertas” (Roman: age of maturity, eligible for marriage) have to delay marriage until “graduation” (late 20s) and completely fail as a result.

      Info,

I read the Tweet. (Are they still called Tweets?)

It fits right into what we have seen elsewhere this year — more demonization of the Manosphere, including the Christian sect thereof. It is not surprising to see Michael Foster writing such things. Remember his row with Dalrock?

However, what he is saying is probably true. Various agents, Federal and other, are actively infiltrating the ‘sphere and are attempting to corrode the reputation from within. We’ll probably see more reports of similar activities for a while.

I listened in to a Podcast where hosts were pointing out the fact, that Americans struggle with the Catholic Church not being perfectly aligned with either side of their two-party system, while American churches including those tax-funded “NGOs” usually are.

The latter fact will make them fail, at least on a global scale. Just like the RCC the RP is a global phenomenon and has absolutely no stake in American domestic politics. PsyOps usually just target citizens and bluntly misunderstand other people from the Western and Non-Western hemispheres, which happen to have values orthogonal to American culture and their political camps.

For example there are countries, where parties hold both traditional family with a high number of children and public welfare in high regards. Any infiltration and division tactics based on US domestic affairs will be bluntly obvious to anyone outside the bubble.

A reader sent me an email quoting the words,

“I urge readers to abandon the internet altogether during this time, and to focus their time and attention on family and friends, and the reason for the season.”

    … and adding,

“The last post for the year contains 127 links for further reading”

    …pointing out the inherent irony.

This post is intended to be a topical summary but it also includes speed links for quick reference (in the future). It is not intended for readers to read every single post that is linked, only to inform them of those they may have missed or may want to read further.

I’m thankful for thoughtful readers like this.
