A historical timeline of how humanity has slowly degraded into it’s fundamental essence.

There is an old American aphorism regarding the socio-spiritual growth of an individual.

“Some people have to hit bottom before they know which way is up.”

The idea is that a man has to make a total mess of his life before he realizes that what he is doing doesn’t work, and that he needs to make a fundamental change.

It has a spiritual corollary as well. A person has to see that all his own understanding is off the mark, and all his best efforts don’t make a bit of difference. When he “hits bottom” he realizes that he needs God.

To offer an example, Roosh is an individual who fits this truism well. The reader could probably recount other individuals from his own mental rolodex of acquaintances.

But this phenomenon applies to humanity as a whole.

The Social Structure Hits Bottom

A societal culture changes incrementally over centuries, because there’s only so much change that the masses as a whole, or even one generation for that matter, can accept at any one time.

Dave, a commenter at Adam’s place, has summarized the structural changes in the political order, based on a YouTube video, . [Lightly edited for clarity.]

“In a nutshell, the true order (as understood by all western Europeans) was God – Catholic Church – King – Aristocracy – Middle Class- workers – nature/animals. Almost all wars of consequence since the Protestant Reformation have been won be the wrong side, and each subsequent loss pushed the revolution further down that line of God’s order.

The Thirty Years War – An effective loss for the Church. Protestantism survives, and the Church would by default need to compromise increasingly henceforth.

English Civil War – An absolute disaster. The King is executed, Puritanism flourishes (and will later spread to the USA), and although the Monarchy is restored, Parliament (aka the Aristocracy – for the time being at least) is effectively in charge.

French/U.S. revolutions — No pretence. The King is overthrown by the same movement in both nations. Yes the US founders were gentlemen. Yes they were aristocrats, but still they were revolutionaries in rebellion against their somewhat ‘tainted’ (by Henry VIII forming his own Church and the execution of Charles I during the civil war) but still rightful King. The movement away from God continues.

U.S. Civil War — Now the Aristocrats are overthrown. The Confederate leaders were gentlemen and aristocrats, the North under Lincoln were middle class businessmen. Out with the old and in with the new. The USA ceased to be the land of free born Britons, and is now a money making enterprise importing labour from all the world over.

Post WW1 — Communist and socialist revolutions galore. The workers are now in charge. The Tsar is gone. The last of the old order with him. Germany effectively has two revolutions. The USA has a socialist overthrow of Lincoln’s middle class business ruling elite with the New Deal. The Aristocrats of the House of Lords are starting to be replaced, and Parliament is now made up of all classes of people.

Today — Now the workers have been overthrown. Their jobs exported, while their third world replacement populations have been imported and allowed to create anarchy on the streets without opposition. The worship of the environment is promoted as the greatest good.

In 500 years, the actual order of the world has been incrementally degraded to the point where it has been tuned on its head. If we take the above understanding to be a true evaluation of events, the problem is, how is it even possible to reverse it?

The non USA anglosphere retains the trappings of the old order via the Monarchy. Yet its still a watered down version of the pre Henry VIII monarchy. The remnants of the USA cling to their aristocratic constitution and fair play rules, but that is laughable considering the demographics of the union. If the confederates couldn’t make a case for states rights in the 1860’s, good luck making that case in clown world today.

Meanwhile, the Catholic Church has itself been white anted, and we have that fool of Pope sitting in the Chair of St Peter.”

The Anglo culture’s socio-political structure has hit rock bottom.

John Stuart Mill (1806-1873), noted for his treatises in classical liberalism, utilitarianism, and feminism; heralded as “the most influential English-speaking philosopher of the nineteenth century”.

Christianity Hits Bottom

64 AD — Peter and Paul were executed.

The second and third century AD — Christians persecuted and martyred on a large scale.

The third and fourth century AD — Authentic Christianity was lost largely due to hellenization.

325-787 AD –The Seven Ecumenical Councils universalize Christian doctrine.

394 AD — Christianity was institutionalized as a state sanctioned religion. Christian doctrine and liturgical practices were subsequently adulterated by Germanic paganism.

1054 AD — The Great Schism. Roman popes break away from the Orthodox Church, and form the Catholic Church.

1095-1251 AD — The Great Crusades pitted Christianity against Islam.

The 11th and 12th centuries AD — The church was further adulterated by chivalry and was then swallowed whole over the next few centuries.

1453 AD — The Turks conquer Constantinople and change Christendom’s greatest church into a mosque.

1517 AD — Martin Luther posts the 95 Theses, kick starting Lutheranism and the beginning of the Radical Reformation and Protestantism.

The 16th through 18th centuries — Further schisms and reform movements within the Anglican Communion, with influence from the Radical Reformation, produced the Puritans and Separatists, giving us today’s BaptistsCongregationalistsQuakers, and eventually Unitarian Universalism.

1532 AD — King Henry VIII forms the Church of England in order to pursue a marriage forbidden by the church.

1610-1650 AD — The Scientific Revolution defies Church authority and forms independent ontological models of the physical world.

1620, 1632 AD — Puritans seek religious freedom and colonize North America.

1637-1789 AD — The Age of Enlightenment leads to liberalism and reductionism in politics, religion, science, and the church.

1717 AD — Freemasonry was founded in England.

1729 AD — The Methodist church was formed.

1776; 1789 AD — The American and French revolutions install democracy as a societal structure, eroding social hierarchies and tribal identities.

1764-1850 AD — Gothicism, the fascination with dark romance, horror, and the macabre sweeps literature and the arts.

Early 19th century — Social, political, and economic liberalism take root.

19th century — Industrialization breaks down the patriarchal social structure of western nations.

1845 AD — The Southern Baptist church was formed.

1870 AD — The Dogma of Papal Infallibility led to the split of the Old Catholic Church.

1870-1890 AD — Freemasons infiltrate church and government institutions.

1890-1930 AD — Occultism creeps into western societies.

20th centuryEcumenism forms. Progressive Christianity, Liberal Christianity, and Liberation Theology, grow exponentially. Protestant churches diverge and then converge along the lines of social liberalism. This is the greatest spiritual adultery of our age.

1914-1918 AD — World War 1 transforms western society and destroys the last remnants of an agrarian, patrilineal social structure.

1916 AD — The Pentecostal church was formed.

1919 AD — Women’s Suffrage erodes patrilineal authority.

1929 AD — The stock market crash leading to the Great Depression destroyed the Gold Standard, consolidated the stranglehold of corporate capitalism, instituted social security, and led many to fear social cataclysm and suffering.

1945 AD — Democratic liberalism reigns supreme. Nationalism vanishes and the Nuclear Age begins.

1950-1980 AD — The sexual revolution grows to envelop western society.

1960 AD — The hormonal contraception pill was introduced, leading to the debasement of marriage.

1970 AD — No Fault Divorce legislation turned marriage into a revolving door.

1973 AD — Roe vs. Wade ruling legalizes abortion, heralding the domination of hedonistic materialism over the sanctity of life.

1980s — Divorce rocks the west, eliminating the common knowledge of God from the younger generations consciousness.

1990s — Revival of occultism.

21st century — Intersectional Feminism destroys the last vestiges of patrilineal authority and leads to widespread nihilism and apostasy.

Christianity has hit rock bottom. What we have today is but a shadow of the real thing.

Conciliar Fundamentalism – The Church of Man


We’ve hit bottom in every appreciable way. It’s time for the American people, and western culture, to discover a new base of existence.

Many of the faithful can sense the dissolution of Christian norms. Since 1995, Orthodoxy has become the fastest growing Church in America.

Take heart! Find your new found faith in our Creator, and His Son, Jesus Christ!

    Good post. I agree that Christianity finds itself in a crisis situation. I have my own ideas about what comes next, which I will write in an upcoming post.

    A couple of quibbles about the generally very helpful timeline. The first is that the Methodists didn’t become a “church” until at least the 1780s in North America, and later, after Wesley’s death, in Britain.

    The second point is a larger one than that quibble. Basically, in my view, you can’t understand the current state of American Protestantism, which is largely what American Christianity consists of, without the Second Great Awakening and the revivalist mindset that it created.

    I’ll elaborate on these points in the post.

    We’re getting pretty near the end of that list:

    However I see things as follows:
    1 Corinthians 11:3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.
    Then children and then animals.

    It isn’t God’s intention that Godfearing men should necessarily need an earthly church or king over them, besides King Jesus, as the scripture tells us. Nor were the Israelites right to have demanded an earthly king. Our nation failed morally first, before our “representative” government began failing politically and in so many other ways. God and our present political system took us to the pinnacle of the world, when our people were devout and Godfearing. It is foolishness to think that we are reaping the consequences of abandoning some older political order, and not just reaping the consequences of abandoning God, despite still possessing the world’s most productive way of governing a large country that has ever existed. We didn’t suddenly become the largest economy in the world, greater than all other earthly kingdoms, by choosing a bad system. The system was great when our nation’s people were moral. The church just grew cold and complacent getting rich as churchgoers voted to allow immorality, and the soul of our nation was continually turned towards evil under their watch. They were hirelings, bad shepherds, and prosperity made selfish humans forget God. We need to repent of our neglect to fear God, and return to serving Him, not look for some dynasty of nepotistic human royalty to save us.

      I agree with you there. But the abandonment of God didn’t just begin with LBJ’s Great Society, Gloria Steinem, Abby Hoffman, LSD, John Lennon, et al. in 1967. It has been accumulating for centuries. The sordid political and legal situations we have today were made possible through movements and decisions that happened in the past. The latter half of the post is intended to illustrate this attritive unmooring.

      Voting has completely failed to prevent duly elected governments from obliterating men’s rights as husbands and fathers.

      Even really bad Kings like Henry VIII didn’t making slapping a rebellious wife illegal.

        My father still slapped my mom about once a decade up to the 1980’s, and I witnessed the “church” trashing him for “being mean”, in front of his own wife and I. Churchian woman-worship was a major culprit in the loss of men’s headship. I think the biggest source of evil was giving women a vote. It was mostly women who voted to absolve themselves from all responsibility for their actions, and to prevent men from correcting them. Voting to some degree represents the will of the governed. When men were governed by a government of their peers, and men governed things within their own households, things still operated fairly well.

        But Satan, through women, screeched about horror stories of mean drunk fathers, to undo a good system and get men to hearken unto the voices of women. We can’t rule based upon anecdotal incidents, that’s foolishness. You don’t disband the nation’s police just because one Black junkie dies while being arrested on video. Nor do you allow women to rule, just because some are such rebels that they get beaten. Sure, mistakes were made, but you don’t govern only according to publicized mistakes. You wisely govern by steadfast morals and abstract reasoning, and women are stereotypically poor at abstract reasoning and their morals usually get compromised by their feelings, so women are naturally poor at governing. When a woman governs well, you will hear the news proclaimed far and wide, because it is exceptional and counterintuitive, like “man bites dog”.

        A Bible believing nation where only men vote, would most likely be favored by God as our nation once was. Don’t ignore history. Our nation rapidly leapt from inception to world leadership, because it had a better system.

        Our system requires moral self-controlled people. However, John Adams probably never imagined fools would let women vote.

        So, we either need to repent and return to God and patriarchy to preserve our liberty, or adopt a form of tyranny that will rule us, rebels against God, by force.

        Women would have elected crooked Hillary Clinton in a landslide. Men made our nation dodge that bullet. Women are natural defilers who lead men away from God and into idolatry.

    Wow, so much wrong here. Just two points I’ll make. First off the church has always grown and will continue to grow as God said it would, like a tree spreading it’s branches. One of the biggest growth areas has been in the underground church in China, tens of millions. Don’t just go by what you see here.

    Second, it was the American Revolution, not rebellion. They were fighting against Parliament because Parliament had no authority over them, the states were directly chartered by the King. So they didn’t rebel against proper authority, the revolted against usurpers.

      Concerning the American Revolution, who are these usurpers that you say? King George? Freemasons? The East India company?

        Parliament. They had zero authority as the colonies were directly charted by the King. Parliament was making rules and taxing outside of their jurisdiction.

      The rebels were not loyal to the English King and the proof is the Declaration of Independence. Read the list of colonial grievances it contains.

        Actually they are pointing out his failure as a sovereign. While Parliament was usurping, the King was falling down on the job, they were loyal but he wasn’t so they had to revolt. If he had done his job we’d still be English.

      All denominations of the corporate church in the western world today are in a state of disintegration. No, this does NOT mean that the true body of Christ is in any danger, which we know is impossible. It means that the various brands of pretenders, all creations of man, whose members have ALWAYS chosen the ways of the World over the ways of God, can’t maintain the illusion of belief anymore. As prophecy unfolds and events begin to separate the wheat from the tares, leaving no middle ground for anyone, the tares far outnumber the wheat grains. This of course means a much smaller true Body of Christ, at least for the moment. It might well be that the coming persecution adds new life to the Body, but for now it seems as if the faithful are few and far between. This will be especially acutely felt in the weeks, days, months, and years to come, as fellowship will be more essential than ever, but the question of whom to TRUST will be difficult to answer.

        Jesus Christ(the last Adam) is the head, and the church is the carnal body of Christ. But like with the first Adam, the rib(the remnant) is taken out of that body to be made “the Bride of Christ”. The church, which is the body of Christ, is not going to be the Bride of Christ. The bride is a small remnant separated out from the body of Christ, the last Adam, and made into his bride. Gary Naler said the Spirit revealed that to him.

        The rest of the church, except for that tiny remnant, has gone whoring after the world. It seems to make much more sense, than what the whore churches teach. The pieces fit together better when you realize the Bride of Christ is not the whole Body of Christ, but will be formed from a small remnant, or rib, separated out of Christ’s body. Christ doesn’t marry his own body, but a bride God makes from a remnant, like how Eve was made from Adam’s rib.

    I don’t trust men who go to church in the here and now.

    For the most part, I no longer do, either, especially if their churches are of the type I describe in my previous post. It’s really a matter of “by his fruits you shall know him.” If he lives his life in a manner that earns him the scorn of your typical “Sunday morning saint,” or “women with special spiritual gifts,” then he’s probably a man worth knowing and fellowshipping with.

    Every dude says their church isn’t like that, but does anyone believe them?

    Generally speaking, the only churches that are not “like that” (i.e., obviously world/Caesar-worshiping churchian franchises, affiliated with an established denomination or not, and that do nothing whatsoever to distinguish themselves from the wider culture) nowadays are small groups or home churches that have completely renounced the Hellenized/Constantinian churchian model. Needless to say, these are (currently) few and far between and not easy to recognize.

      Definitely has been my observation over the last 9 years. I’ve only come across one home church, and the only reason I knew about it was through two classmates from Bible college. Outside of that, it’s very hard to spot them. These blog sites are about as close as I can get right now.

        I just listened to a “Ted talk” by Richard Jacobson, and he listed one of the benefits of home churches as being “more gender equality”. While he may well have recognized many faults present in the current megachurch model, he is still lost and floundering, seemingly just wanting a blue-pill church that suits him personally, while also having less structure and overhead. But, his beliefs still aren’t Biblical regarding the sexes. So, I wouldn’t go to his home based church either. Leaving the corporate whore churches is a good move, but starting up little Feminist terror cells is not the correct final destination.

    There are different networks of home churches. In the network I am familiar with, Richard Jacobson is virtually unknown, unheard of. I recently stumbled across his Youtube channel. Don’t throw out all home churches because of Jacobson.

      I think leaving the corporate churches is correct and starting new churches in homes is correct. I just think starting new churches that even further pedestalize women, is not an improvement. We need to start new churches where women are returned to their Biblical place of serving their husband and family, where they wear a covering symbolic of their husbands authority over them, where they remain silent when the church is assembled for teaching, Etc. Women being treated as equal to men is a satanic attack on the order of the family, God’s most basic unit of society. Women are cursed by God, and should remain shamefaced, which becometh women professing godliness.(1 Timothy 2:9-10) For women, who are natural defilers(Revelation 14:4), failing to adorn themselves with shamefacedness is unbecoming and ungodly conduct. Women should not be attempting to usurp men, who are their superiors, by seeking an ungodly equality of being. Instead they should be grateful and joyful that God is so generously offering women, jointly, the same grace as He grants to men. And they should show that gratitude by cheerfully fulfilling their duties to God and to the man whom God ordained to rule as head over them.
